Pineto gives the possibility
to visit the most beautiful places of Abruzzo;
and it is not necessary to travel a lot because all places
are near.
Teramo,
one hour from Pineto, is full of Roman and Medieval
monuments . Its Cathedral is of Centuries XII-XIV.
with a Gothic portal and inside there is a polyptych
by Iacobello del Fiore and an altar-frontal by Nicola
da Guardiagrele.
Atri is very interesting; it
is on 400 m. s.l.m.. Here there is a Romanic-Gothic
Cathedral of Century XII with wonderful frescoes
by Andrea Delitio of Century XV.
Castelli is a very characteristic
village on 497 m. s.l.m.. Here there are many artisan
shops where there is the wonderful art of ceramics,
born between 1500 and 1600. Here there is also a Ceramics
Museum.
